The castle was to be restored - in the 1960's the castle was covered in a concrete render , however befor the restoration Historic Scotland agreed to hand over the castle to 3 graffiti artists from brazil to cover the concrete render in art untill it was to be removed when they were to remove all the concrete render and graffiti and be replaced with a breathable lime render.

Whooh! That's one funky castle! Slightly surreal juxtaposed with the original facade. I quite like it.
